Fun facts about Janet: she LOVES to bake, better yet she loves to experiment with new recipes. So cast & crew, I am thinking there may be some taste testing in our future. Her first career was a Middle School English Teacher, who also taught math & French. So if you’re looking for help in those classes, look no further! Then I asked her the most important question, what is your favorite musical? She responded: Wicked! And yes, she did have the opportunity to see while it was in town (lucky duck). She also said her audition song would be, “I’m Not That Girl.” Janet is really looking forward to joining our team and diving into work. She has been wanting to be involved with our program for a while and by the grace of God the time was right! Even though this is her first time directing music in a musical, she is so excited!! Welcome Janet, we are so happy to have you!

This school year our students will be led and guided by an exceptional senior leader squad. As we get into the season we would love to introduce you to them.
Sydni- She is been a part of every musical in her school career. She has donned the stage as the White Rabbit in Shrek and in Bye, Bye Birdie she was Mrs. Merkle and Gloria Rasputin. She currently works in an art gallery and is excited for the season to begin. Her advice for auditions is: have fun and don't put so much pressure on yourself. Kayla- She has also been a part of our crew her high school career, but in the booth! She has been one of our sound engineers running the microphones and balancing sound. She currently works at Anderson's Ice Cream Shop in Lindstrom and her favorite flavor is Amaretto Mackinac Island Fudge. Her advice for the musical season is: Embrace your role, even it it's not something you wanted. Anjie- as a Senior, this year will be Anjie's third year on our stage, she as also been apart or our program all throughout high school. She has graced our page as The Sugar Plum Fairy in Shrek and Rosie Alvarez in Bye, Bye Birdie. Anjie has been flying airplanes for about a year and is currently working towards her solo flight! She is looking forward to this musical season and her advice for additions is: As long as you recover from your mistakes, you will be fine. Ari- this will be Air's second show at CLHS as they joined us last year (and are we glad!) Ari played the role of Ursula Merkle enthusiastically during Bye, Bye Birdie. They are a small business owner and you can find the products for sale at Franconia Sculpture Park or @arisbeading on Instagram. Their advice for auditions is: BE LOUD, it's better to be obnoxious than quiet. In the updated Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella you will find a few new faces! In the coming blogs we will highlight the original characters and how they have been updated. But today, meet the new ones who will be brought to life this fall! Gabrielle- this step-sister has been plucked from the original story, but her mind set and outcomes have changed! She is encouraged by her mother to uphold the values of class and materialism. In the beginning she joins in the rude behavior towards Cinderella, but finds a true friend and confidant in her as the show progresses. She has a love connection with Jean-Michel, as she is drawn to his want to change the world. She is a supporting character and has solos in or is the small group singing: "Cinderella March", "When You're Driving Through The Moonlight", "A Lovely Night", "A Lovely Night (Reprise)", and "Now is the Time (Reprise)". Besides Cinderella and Marie she is one of the larger Female roles. Jean-Michel- this rebel rouser is a passionate peasant seeking justice and equality. The tries to lead a revolution, with Ella’s help. He is smitten by Gabrielle, but due to their social status differences know their love will never be permitted. He is a Featured role and has solos in "Now is the Time", "Now is the Time (Reprise)".
